I am now searching for talented, enthusiastic students who seek for PhD studies in Physiological Computing at UCL (University College London).
In particular, we have been building new physiological sensing, psychological state recognition, and feedback technologies for people with mental impairments (e.g. mental stress) and disability.
I will provide an introduction to this newly emerging area, Physiological Computing, soon.
the main three components of physiological computing are:
- Physiological sensing: blood perfusion, brain activation, etc.
- Psychological state recognition: stress, tiredness, etc. (using machine learning techniques, such as advanced recurrent neural networks)
- Feedback: visual feedback in AR/VR, tactile feedback.
